The inspiration for the Poivre Sacr and Poivre Imprial perfumes comes from a mythical perfume from our heritage, Poivre, launched in 1954. At the time, this perfume made an impression with its original name and its unique composition, dominated by spicy. The success was immediate, making pepper an essential ingredient in the CARON palette.
Our perfumer Jean JACQUES has always used this sometimes indomitable material in his creations. In Poivre Imprial, black pepper softens and brightens with a petaly and slightly aquatic note of lotus flower. The meeting, all in contrast, creates a pretty harmony with false watercolor tunes. Jean JACQUES imagined this Lotus flower accord, remembering his days spent in Asia, from a transparent Turkish rose, from a For Life certified fair trade sector, associated with Indian jasmine, slightly fruity.
This contemporary composition is in line with the House’s audacious creations, because combining the delicacy of the lotus with the ribbing of the pepper is a most astonishing olfactory exercise!
